Dear WAKO friends,

What count in life are facts and not words!
What we achieved in Seoul (Korea), it will stay in the history of our sport. IAKSA and WAKO's merging (IAKSA which  will be  incorporated into WAKO)   was an extremely positive action to get KICKBOXING out of the "impasse" it was in relation with the international sports institution like GAISF. Without the merging, we wouldn't have made  it. We must seriously admit it. Probably kickboxing would  still be  out  of GAISF. And that is particular true if we consider the "kamikaze" speach that Mr. Paul Ingram, from WKA, pronounced in front of the GAISF General Assembly.
But  I did not contest him the fact that in his application he had declared  of having  68 countries just in Europe!,(probably he doesn't know geography); that "Damascus"  was a country (Syria is one of our official countries!) , or that in Italy he mentioned of having his representative officially recognized by CONI when it is MY FEDERATION which is the officially recognized one!

Notwithstanding the many lies and the many horrible mistakes, WAKO was voted in.
And there is nothing anybody can do against the General Assembly's decision!
We are now getting nasty e-mails which are circulating around  against our recognition from our competitors. I think it is understandable: since they are badly hurt, they are negative and powerless reactions to our success.

In the name of WAKO I would like then to thank two persons in particular who have helped me (and WAKO) to reach that important goal: Mr. Richard Leyrer (Hungary) and Mr. Espen Lund (Norway).Their constant assistance and suggestion have supported my action step by step to our  victory.

We have shared all dramatic moments in past negative GAISF General Assemblies, but we have also shared the exciting and joyful moments of Seoul which we will never forget.
Also by the present I would like to thank  IAKSA leaders (Mr. Horst Prelog,more than anybody else)  for their wisdom and for their fundamental decision of merging with WAKO and  closing down IAKSA within 6 months. To our new friends from IAKSA I just would like to say not to fear this process. They will be welcome in our organization and we are just pleased at the idea of working together.

In the home page,  reporting about their 40th Annual General Assembly in Seoul, there you have WAKO among the NEW MEMBERS of GAISF!
